Cord Blood Banking Process

1. Enroll  
Enroll by phone, fax, or online.  After enrollment, you will receive your cord blood collection kit.  This kit contains all necessary materials for cord blood collection and instructions for both you and your doctor.

2.  Collect
You will need to notify your doctor of your decision to bank your child’s cord blood and provide him with the cord blood collection kit.

3.  Ship
To ship cord blood, contact courier for pick-up directly from hospital.  AirNet shipping is available for an additional $200; FedEx Priority Overnight shipping is included in Processing fees.

Once received, the cord blood is then analyzed and processed by our lab.  Processing includes testing, separation of cord blood stem cells, and preparation for storage.

The processed stem cells are stored in our facility within vapor phase liquid nitrogen for cryopreservation.  They will be securely monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by multiple systems.
